Farm to table.
This year we’ve had our best year yet for farming at Freshwater Creek Cottages. We are feeling very grateful that our hard work in the fields is paying off and we’re being rewarded with our very own chemical-free, paddock-raised beef. Here’s a recipe from one of our neighbours who regularly drops by for fresh meat.
Simple spaghetti bolognese.
Add onion to a hot pan with olive oil - stir till it softens.
Add celery, carrot and garlic - cook for 5mins.
Add Freshwater Creek Cottages organic beef mince
Once meat is browned add tinned tomato and tomato paste
Leave to simmer with a lid on top, season with salt and pepper
Meanwhile cook spaghetti as per packet instructions

2 x garlic cloves diced
2 x stalks of celery diced
2 x carrots diced
1 x 400g tin of tomatoes
1 x small tin tomato paste
salt & pepper to taste
Served with roasted asparagus
